Swimming with the Whale Sharks
At the southeastern Cebu town of Oslob, swimming with the whale sharks is a popular attraction among local and foreign tourists alike. Sleep overnight at one of the resorts in Oslob or nearby as there will be long queues for the morning spectacle. They let the whale sharks rest in the afternoon.


Chase Waterfalls

Go Trekking

Trekking, canyoneering, and mountain-climbing are fast becoming a popular activity in Southern Cebu, most especially for those with a spirit for adventure. Osmeña Peak can be accessed through Mantalongon, Dalaguete. It is among the more popular trekking spots in Cebu.

Mount Lanaya in Alegria town is another popular trekking site which offers trails for both beginners and experienced climbers. It has an elevation of 720 meters above sea level. A nearby mountain range is Mount Kangbulagsing.

Mount Bartolina in Samboan town is among the highest peaks in the south of Cebu. The peak at Mt. Bartolina gives you spectacular views of both Bohol and Negros islands as well as southeastern and southwestern Cebu.


Enjoy the Beach

The southwestern Cebu coast can boast of some fine beaches. Resorts abound in Barili, Badian, and Moalboal towns. The beaches in Barangays Saavedra and Bas Daku, Moalboal are among the more popular destinations in the south. In the southeast, beaches in Argao, Alcoy, and Boljoon are frequented by locals and tourists alike. Tingko Beach in Alcoy is popular.
