Staying Positive in Cebu, Philippines

Maybe you've heard it on the radio, with your best friend singing along. Maybe you've heard it being played in your office. Or maybe you've seen it being shared on Facebook. It's one of the most famous #hugot Vispop songs today. HAHAHAHasula is a song sung by Kurt Fick and composed by Ronald Ucat (aka Medyo Maldito) and Jude Gitamondoc that has a sweet melody, but is all about being brokenhearted.

Stay positive!

Nobody wants to experience having a broken heart, but the thing with broken hearts is that you don't get to choose. If you are like the singer of the song and has struck out on love, don't fret. There are many things you can do to stay positive. While having a broken heart is definitely one of the hardest things to go through in life, mending one can actually be a positive experience. One of the best ways to mend a broken heart is to discover new things, and one of the best ways to do that is to travel!
Even just around Cebu, there are plenty of places to help you get over that broken heart and move on. Now is the time to cross over the boundaries of your comfort zones and try these new experiences alone or with friends and family:

Smash plates at Adventure Cafe in Balamban, Cebu, Philippines

Smashing plates is surprisingly good at relieving stress and venting out anger. Who knew, right? Adventure Cafe let's you do just that.

Kick-box at Muay Thai Cebu, IT Park

You know how in movies whenever the star is angry, he/she would hit a pillow or something else to calm down? This is basically driving on the same principle. Head on to IT Park to work on your kicks.

Go canyoneering at Badian, Cebu, Philippines

Seeing nature's beauty firsthand can help you forget about your broken heart, even if for a little while. Canyoneering in Badian sure sounds like a fun nature activity.

Try archery at Lahug

Maybe focusing on an archery target instead of your sorrows might just be what you need. Hit a target with a bow and arrow in Lahug.

Skydive at Bantayan Island in Northern Cebu

Jump out of that plane and leave your troubles behind. Bantayan Island is a good place for skydiving.

Paintball at JCentre in Mandaue City, Cebu, Philippines

Just imagine whoever you're shooting at is your ex. Just kidding. It's really fun, though! Start shooting paintballs at JCentre Mall in Mandaue City.

Go Karting at Kasambagan, Cebu City

Drive around without a care in the world! Well, maybe a little bit so you don't get in an accident. Try Go Karting at Kartzone in Kasambagan, Cebu City, Philippines.

Learn a new language at Speedtalk

Fill up your mind with a new language to push away those negative thoughts. Speedtalk can help you with that distraction. Visit them in Banilad, Cebu City, Philippines.

Take some cooking lessons at Caro & Marie

Eating food always helps. Making food is even better. You still get to eat what you cooked in the lessons anyway. Try your hand at cooking with Caro and Marie in Mabolo, Cebu City, Philippines.

Volunteer for Non-profit Organizations

Helping others isn't always a selfless act. It can also be to help yourself. Doing good things make you feel good. And who knows, maybe that good karma will find it's way back to you.
Don't wallow in your #hugot moments. Stay positive and enjoy life! Hopefully you will find yourself distracted in these activities. You never know, you may even meet someone new.
