Mismukuno Cebu Japanese Restaurant

One way of trying out restaurants without breaking the bank is to be on the lookout for deals they offer. We chanced upon a deal from a Japanese restaurant in Ayala Center Cebu recently where they offered buy one, take one on their Japanese rolls. Mismukuno Teppanyaki has this offer from 2 to 5 pm. The offer was buy any 2 kinds of sushi rolls and pay only for the more expensive one.

What we Ordered at Mismukuno Cebu

So we ordered chicken teriyaki roll maki, salmon skin maki, and a pork teppanyaki plate. They served us some miso soup before we got our orders. Mismukuno Cebu specializes in Japanese rolls. Their menu contains 10 house specialty rolls. They have volcano, California, chicken teriyaki roll, sunrise, tempura, dynamite, mango cheese roll, Mazinger roll, salmon skin, and Mismukuno maki varieties. The price for their rolls range from PhP 180 to PhP 230.

They also serve kiddie rolls, crab stick tempura, shrimp tempura, vegetable tempura, kani salad, green tea ice cream, salmon sashimi, tuna sashimi, squid sashimi, shrimp sushi, squid sushi, salmon sushi, tuna sushi, crab stick sushi, beef teppanyaki, chicken teppanyaki, pork teppanyaki, chicken teriyaki, short ribs steak, Angus beef steak, cube roll steak, strip loin steak, scallops, prawns, yakisoba, Mahi-mahi fish, salmon head teriyaki, mixed seafood, pan-seared salmon, mushrooms, tofu, squid teriyaki, and beef teriyaki bowl.

There was nothing to complain about the rolls we ordered. While the flavors were obviously not original Japanese, they were good nonetheless. I'm assuming they blended the flavors to make it attractive for Filipino diners who prefer their food to be sweeter.

A La Carte Menu at Cafe Breeze

Shortly before I left for America, I was invited to a food tasting event at Cafe Breeze along with bloggers from the Cebu Blogging Community and Cebu Bloggers Society.

Cafe Breeze in Cebu City, Philippines

Cafe Breeze is the in-house food and beverage services provider at Bayfront Hotel at Cebu City's North Reclamation Area near SM City Cebu. It is managed by Red Carpet Catering Services.

During the event, we sampled the best that the Cafe Breeze a la carte menu has to offer: Spaghetti Bolognese, Aglio Olio, Barbieken, Clubhouse Sandwich, Bury Bury Good Steak, Stewbeef, Spicy Squidly, Chomp Chops, and Rolled and Cordoned.

Tokyo Tokyo Restaurant

Those who know me very well knows how much I love Japanese cuisine and that I will go out of my way to try Japanese restaurants around Cebu. In fact, if you notice, there are a lot of articles about Japanese restaurants in this blog. How happy I was when Tokyo Tokyo Restaurant finally opened at the SM Seaside City Cebu.

Tokyo Tokyo Japanese Restaurant in Cebu City

I first dined at a Tokyo Tokyo restaurant in Manila in 2011 and was craving for it since then. They finally opened their first store in Cebu, Philippines at the ground floor of SM Seaside City at the South Road Properties. It was April 2016 when I visited with my brother Nathan. Here is what we ordered:

Sumo Meal Promotion

It was cherry blossom season in Japan when we dined at Tokyo Tokyo Restaurant. Because of that, they had a limited time promotion on a sumo meal which we ordered. The meal served in a bento box had ebi tempura, yasai itame, beef misono, chicken karaage, and a vegetable salad. It also came with two bowls of rice and two glasses of Cherry Mist drink, which was a Sprite-like soda mixed with some cherry flavors. The beef and vegetable dishes were alright, while the others below expectations.
My top bento box meal in Cebu still comes from Rai Rai Ken.

Handuraw Pizza Cafe: Thin Crust Pizza and More in Cebu

Handuraw Pizza in Cebu City specializes in thin crust pizza. Yet it has several interesting items on their menu. Let's explore what they do offer.

Pica-pica

Pica-pica are finger foods and appetizers. At Handuraw, they have peanuts, potato jojos, French fries, chili chips, and tapa tips. They also serve chili wings, chicken fingers, sisig, cheese sticks, garlic mushrooms, grilled Italian sausage, and calamari.

The chili chips are homemade nachos. It comes along with a spicy salsa.

Yoshinoya Restaurant: Affordable Japanese Food in Cebu

Those who know me well know that I am a sucker for Japanese food. How delighted I was to learn that the Yoshinoya Restaurant finally opened its first branch in Cebu at the SM Seaside City. A second branch is also opening soon at Robinsons Galleria Cebu.

One fine day last December 2015, we decided to dine at the Yoshinoya Restaurant in SM Seaside City largely because I had a coupon that says I can avail of free serving of California Maki for a minimum spend of PhP 500. This was from a promotion on my SM Advantage Card. Initially, the store did not honor the offer since the electronic coupon from the SM Advantage Mobile Application only indicated the offer was only available at SM Mall of Asia, SM Manila, SM Megamall, and SM North EDSA and not at SM Seaside City. Luckily however, the manager at the Yoshinoya branch at SM Seaside City later on agreed to give us the free item.

What We Ordered at Yoshinoya

For appetizers, we ordered ebi tempura and gyoza. Both were fast food-grade. Three pieces of gyoza sells at PhP 59. A piece of ebi tempura retails at PhP 39, three pieces at PhP 115, and six pieces at PhP 229.

My top place to get gyoza in Cebu is at Tempura Japanese Grill. For tempura, I recommend Choobi Choobi Restaurant.

Dining at Kuya J Restaurant

On the 25th of December 2015, I had dinner with my brother, sister-in-law, my brother's mother-in-law, and my nephew at Kuya J Restaurant along Escario Street in Cebu City.

Baked Scallops

I have heard great reviews about the baked scallops at Kuya J. So we took one order just to try. It was not the best one I tried in Cebu to be honest and so that was a bit of disappointment. It wasn't bad however. It should still make my top five list. PhP 165 per serving of ten pieces.

2 Treats to Try at Frozen Snack Bar

We chanced upon a cafe near midtown Cebu City specializing on frozen treats such as ice cream, banana splits, sundaes, and parfaits. I'm referring to Frozen Snack Bar. The cafe is located at the Cebu Century Plaza Complex along Juana Osmeña Street in Cebu City.

Two Treats to Try at Frozen Snack Bar

During one of the business meetings I held for Cebu Teambuilding Services back in the day, one was held at the Frozen Snack Bar. We ordered some light snacks while we discussed important things.

Street Food Platter

We ordered a street food platter. It had colored shrimp crackers, kikiam, squid rolls, and fish balls. A sweet chili sauce accompanied the platter. Nothing fancy about it. It tastes just like how we expected it.

Cowgirl Snacks at Rodeo Grill Barbecue + Sizzlers

Rodeo Grill Barbecue + Sizzlers had buy one, take one offers on cowgirl snacks and we took on two of them when me and my brother visited SM City Cebu late in the month of April of 2016. Cowgirl snacks refer to smaller portions served at Rodeo Grill, a wild west saloon-inspired restaurant with several branches in Cebu City, Philippines. These cowgirl snacks are only served during a certain period of the day, much like the off peak happy hour period of other restaurants. The time falls between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. of ordinary weekdays.

Cowgirl Snacks at Rodeo Grill Barbecue + Sizzlers

We ordered two sets of cowgirl snacks: crispy chicken and pancit canton. Since we ordered between 3 to 5 p.m., the buy one, take one promo was still on. So we got two servings of each item we ordered. Too bad they ran out of cowboy burgers that time. Those burgers must have really been good! I will have to find out the next time I visit then.

BIG Hotel

Hotels in the Philippines usually are constructed where there's a lot going on. The trend in Cebu, Philippines nowadays is to build where there is nothing happening yet. Where there is potential for business development. While the North Reclamation Area in Mandaue City was built in the 1960's, it has only recently seen a construction boom. Most notable recent constructions are two major hospitals, a university, an Old West-themed diner, a shopping center, and an urban resort. Other establishments of note are a few strip malls, a membership-only shopping center, a hypermarket, some entertainment joints, and a number of offices and warehouses.

One hotel also started operating in the area starting the middle of 2015. BIG Hotel is a business and/ or industrial hotel in Mandaue City under the umbrella of the Travelbee Budget Inns and Hotels group.

Everest Food Corner: 3 Dishes You Must Try On Their Menu

Since Everest can easily be associated with the cold, ice cream is the flagship product of Everest at the South Coast Center in Linao, Talisay City, Cebu. But aside from Everest Ice Cream Haus, there is also the Everest Food Corner where guests can place short orders.

We dropped by the store in early June 2015 and ordered the three dishes in the menu that immediately caught our attention. Continue reading to find out what we ordered.

Diamond Suites in Cebu City: 6 Reasons To Stay Here

There are many big name hotels in Cebu City. But that does not keep smaller hotel brands from gaining a significant share of Cebu City's tourism market. In fact, there still seems to be a shortage of hotel rooms for tourists visiting the Queen City of the South. Specially during peak seasons.

One hotel that stands proud among its big name competitors is Diamond Suites. It is located at 8 Apitong Street corner Escario Street, Cebu City. The hotel is on the same site as the sold out Diamond Residences. The latter is a residential condominium property past the 6th floor of the building that Diamond Suites occupies.

The Grain Restaurant's Cakes: A Treat for the Sweet Tooth

Upon invitation of Keene Albert Tan, I was able to sample the signature cakes at The Grain Restaurant. I have a  massive sweet tooth and I was just so happy to be invited.

I sure hoped my blood glucose levels were not too high that time as we were served a huge variety of dessert items, mostly cakes from their signature collection. It was truly a treat for our sweet tooth, and maybe just too much of it we realized after.

My 5 Favorite Dishes at Harbour City Dimsum

In general, Chinese culinary culture has a very large influence on Filipino cuisine. It is no surprise therefore that Chinese food is quite popular among Filipinos. This is no different for us Cebuanos. Harbour City Dimsum Restaurant is part of a group of Chinese-inspired restaurants that has caught on the Cebuanos love for Chinese food.

Cute Book Nook at Sunday 2 PM Cafe

There is a budding cafe culture in Cebu and the trend is themed spaces largely inspired by Koreans. Cebuanos are not just enamored with Koreanovelas. Or probably, that is part of the inspiration of this growing love affair with Korean culture.

I have always wondered why a lot of my friends post often on social media about Pink Heaven Bakeshop and Bistro.

AKITA: A Japan-Nice Restaurant in Mandaue City, Cebu

We Cebuanos are known for being Otaku or lovers of the Japanese culture. We are avid fans of the undying Manga and Anime series. We even sing songs by Japanese artists and bands. And we do cosplay as Japanese show characters. But even more so, we Cebuanos are true lovers of the Japanese food. Am I right or am I correct?

Birdseed Breakfast Club + Cafe: All Day Breakfast in Cebu

Some people are early birds and wish to have their breakfast or morning meal early. Some are late risers and prefer to have their first meal much later in the day. Some want to combine meals and just have brunch. Yet some just can't have enough of breakfast food and want to have it in every meal. Birdseed Breakfast Club + Cafe caters to just about anyone of the aforementioned personality profiles with differing meal preferences in Cebu City, Philippines. An all-day breakfast club run by Chef Alyssa Lao, Birdseed traces it's name origins to a slang word used to mean breakfast.

While the popular quote "the early bird catches the worm" may be a good reference to early risers and the worm as the bird's breakfast, most if not all birds do eat plant seeds as a common meal making the avian kind one of the biggest agents of cross pollination. Birdseed therefore captures more of the all-day breakfast vibe at this place bridging uptown and midtown Cebu City.

Birdseed Breakfast Club + Cafe is located at Unit F 19 at the Axis Entertainment Avenue, Vibo Place along N. Escario Street in barangay Camputhaw, Cebu City, Philippines. It opened last 16 January 2016. The restaurant is open from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. daily. Below is their contact information:

Telephone Number: +6332 254 9463

The Menu

Birdseed Breakfast Club + Cafe serves American food, Asian fusion dishes, breakfast items, sandwiches, coffee, and soul food. The menu is actually divided into the following eight (8) sections:
  1. Soups. Dishes with some broth in it.
  2. Salads. For those who want it light, organic, or vegetarian.
  3. Pancakes, Waffles, and Toasts.  Common breakfast items from egg-based dough.
  4. Sandwiches. Breads with fillings in between.
  5. Go Green. Anything plant-based.
  6. Mains. Heavier meals and entrees.
  7. Drinks. Beverage section.
  8. Coffee Bar. For coffee lovers.

When we dined in for brunch one lazy day in May 2016, we ordered the triple-stack buttermilk pancakes with maple butter and a breakfast skillet as suggested by the hosts.

Triple-stack Buttermilk Pancake with Maple Butter

A stack of three fluffy pancakes with a generous topping of slowly melting butter. As a side to it, we had a choice of spiced maple syrup, strawberry, or blueberry syrup. We took the spiced maple syrup. The pancakes are not too sweet. Just pour in the maple syrup to your liking to make it sweeter. Filipinos might find this different as they are used to a sweeter taste of not just pancakes but food in general.

Never Again at AnDiana's Restaurant

Andiana's Restaurant is right beside Barbeque Boss at the corner of Pope John Paul II Avenue and F. Cabahug Street in Kasambagan, Cebu City. They also serve just about the same menu as Barbeque Boss. They can actually be mistaken to be part of Barbeque Boss. They are actually not.

We tried to dine in their once. It wasn't the best of our many dining experiences. My brother initially wanted to eat at Barbeque Boss but I persuaded him to try something novel as we have already eaten a lot of times at Barbeque Boss. On hindsight, I should have listened to him. But oh well, let us just charge this one to experience and move on.

You Will Love The Coffee and More at Barako Haus

Coffee shops in Cebu are mostly overrated and are usually expensive. I dare say this coming from Bacolod City on a recent business trip. Bacolod City has basic native coffee shops that serve brewed native coffee for as low as PhP 10.00 per cup. Now compare that to the ones served at Cebu cafes that go by the hundreds or just a bit less.

Thankfully though, I stumbled upon a coffee shop near the heart of Cebu City where the price is not that bad. I'm referring to Barako Haus at the corner of Juana Osmeña Street and Maria Cristina Street, a stone's throw away from the Baseline residences. A dimly lit cafe with furniture in dark brown varnish, Barako Haus is a cool place to have breakfast. Free breakfast for Mandaue Botique Hotel guests are served by Barako Haus. It is also a good place meet up with friends, do some work, or just simply hang out.

Acacia Steakhouse

Some good places to eat in Cebu are hidden from plain sight or are situated in rather peculiar corners. Aside from the fact that they are not easily found and where not many public utility vehicles ply a route, one gets to ask whether it is worth the trouble to even get there.

I found myself dining in one of these curiously hidden places in late May 2016. It was an unplanned lunch date with fellow bloggers who were members of the Cebu Blogging Community. With me were Jullian, JL, and Carlo.

4 Kinds of Cupcakes at Fudge

Fudge is fast becoming a favorite dessert place among Cebuanos. Aside from it's lava cake, another item worth a try at Fudge are the 4 different kinds of cupcakes that they serve. These are the calamansi, vanilla, chocolate, and the pink velvet cupcakes.

Chocolate

The chocolate-flavored variety at Fudge is but a chocolate cupcake with white icing. Bittersweet cake with some sweet icing on top. Cost is PhP 50 per piece.

Calamansi

With a green, tangy-tasting green frosting, I find this variation kind of weird for my palate. Sweet cupcake base with a sweet and tangy frosting. It's the frosting that tasted a little different. This is sold at PhP 50 a piece.

Pink Velvet

Aside from the pink candy cane sprinkles on its frosting, the cupcake itself has somewhat of a pink color. This is sold at a higher price than the other varieties at PhP 70 each.

Vanilla

The vanilla-flavored cupcake at Fudge is my personal favorite. The frosting on the vanilla cupcake is a little crispier compared to the frosting on the other varieties. This also sells at PhP 50 each.

Note: On top of the prices at Fudge, there is also a service charge  which amounts to approximately 10% of the bill.

Ebisuya Japanese Fusion Restaurant in Cebu City, Philippines

Sometimes, Japanese restaurants are kind of intimidating. It's probably the elegance, or the cleanliness, or the impeccable personalized service. It is probably because of this that I have tried Japanese food mostly from fastfood-grade Japanese restaurants in Cebu

I was of luck recently when I got invited to dine at Ebisuya Japanese fusion restaurant. The restaurant is located at One Paseo, Paseo Saturnino, Banilad, Cebu City. I went with my brother and two of my blogger friends.

Dining with friends at Ebisuya

Ebisuya Japanese Restaurant

"Ebisuya" roughly translates to a restaurant that is also home in the Japanese language. The first level of the restaurant is the typical restaurant feel. The second level has private dining rooms that provide guests with a more private dining experience. There are small private dining rooms for four people or less and there are larger function rooms that can accommodate up to 30 patrons. Best of all, there is actually no minimum orders to use these rooms as long as they are available when you dine in.

Set Meal

We were served the Dinner Set Meal A for dinner with two extra dishes. Priced at PhP 2500, Dinner Set Meal A is a mix of around nine Japanese and Korean dishes. The set includes saury or sanamiyaki, gyoza, jjampong noodles, teppan buta, eight pieces of California maki, chicken chahan, chicken salada, Korean pancakes, and a set of tempura. Their menu indicates that this was good for 2-3 persons. But it could really feed up to five persons with a fairly regular appetite.

The gyoza is pretty good. I like the fact that they charred it a little bit to give it some extra crunch. Ebisuya is probably one of two places I'll come back for gyoza. The other place being Tempura Grill.

The tempura set had prawn tempura, fish tempura, assorted vegetable tempura, and rosu katsu. These are pretty good stuff.

Among these dishes, I particularly loved the teppan buta. It tasted like the local tocino with it's sweet pork meat. I also loved that they sauteed the meat in garlic, chili, spring onions, and sweet onions.

The two extra dishes they served us were a sashimi plate and a sushi plate. The sashimi plate had octopus, shrimps, Lapulapu fish, salmon, hamachikama fish, sea urchin meat, squid, and shell meat.

Axis Entertainment Avenue Formally Opens

Axis Entertainment Avenue has been launched formally at The Vibo Place along Escario Street, Cebu City. The grand launch was done last 14 April 2015. It was an event that was well-attended by many of Cebu's influential people.

Axis Entertainment Avenue

I first heard about Axis Entertainment Avenue at The Vibo Place during the Sinulog Festival 2016. The Vibo Place was the venue of Hyper Wonderland. Hyper Wonderland was one of the big parties done after the grand parade of the Sinulog. Back then, it was not fully operating and only a few stores were open. The strip style mall counts mostly themed restaurants as locators. Although Ricoh Copiers and Nikon Cameras also hold offices at Axis.

Ice Cream Bars at Butterbean Desserts Cafe

Are you a fan of ice cream bars? There's a place in Cebu City that allows you to customize your own ice cream bars. The place is called Butterbean Desserts Cafe. They have a store along N. Escario Street right beside Surfin' Ribs. They also have a kiosk at Ayala Center Cebu.

Ice Cream Bars at Butterbean Desserts Cafe

Ordering your ice cream bar at Butterbean Desserts Cafe is easy. The 5 steps are:

  • Choose the shape and size of your ice cream bar.
  • Choose your flavor.
  • Choose your coating.
  • Choose your toppings.
  • Choose your drizzle.

Choose Your Shape and Size

Ice cream bars are either rectangular, heart-shaped, or shaped like a smiley. They can come in petite or regular size. We chose two regular rectangular bars.

Choose Your Flavors

Available flavors are: vanilla, chocolate, green tea, or chocolate. I chose vanilla flavor. My brother chose the chocolate flavor. A regular vanilla ice cream bar costs PhP 110. Other flavors are priced at PhP 120. Petite vanilla ice cream bars can be bought at PhP 75. Other flavors are pegged at PhP 85.

Choose Your Coating

Choosing your chocolate coating comes after deciding on the bar shape, size, and flavors. You can choose between white chocolate, milk chocolate, dark chocolate, strawberry, and Oreo choco dip. The Oreo choco dip commands an additional PhP 10 charge. I chose the dark chocolate coating. My brother went for the white chocolate coating.

Choose Your Toppings

After getting the ice cream bar coated, we get to choose three toppings. I had Oreo, walnuts, and cashew. My brother had candy cane sprinkles, chocolate chips, and Oreo for his version. Other available toppings are sea salt, cheese, almonds, peanuts, M & m's, marshmallows, and dried mangoes.

All-Star Chicken Meal at Bonchon

Bonchon Chicken currently has 3 branches in Cebu City. They offer Team Bonchon All-star meals good for groups of 2 to 4 persons. I recently visited the Bonchon Chicken branch at SM Seaside City.

Other branches are at SM City Cebu and at Ayala Center Cebu. With my brother Nathan, we ordered an all-star meal: the Team Bonchon All-star Chicken Meal. Other Team Bonchon All-star meals available are the Bulgogi All-star Meal, the Chicken Fries All-star Meal, and the Sandwich All-star Meal. All of these costs PhP 399 each.

Bonchon Chicken

Team Bonchon All-Star Chicken Meal

We ordered the Team Bonchon All-Star Chicken meal at the Bonchon Chicken branch in SM Seaside City Cebu. This cost us PhP 399. The serving size is good for 2 to 3 persons. The meal consists of a small serving of fried chicken wings with a flavor or glaze of our choice, a bowl of chapchae Korean glass noodles, 3 cups of rice, and 3 glasses of our choice of drink. They also added in a complimentary apple crepe dessert. It was part of a marketing promotion they were running at that time.

Fried Chicken Wings With Honey Citrus Glaze

The All-star Chicken meal has a small chicken wings plate as it's main dish, about 5 fried chicken wing slices. We did get to choose our flavor. And we settled for the honey citrus glaze. We were in the mood for a sweet blend during that visit. Other available glaze or flavors are soy garlic and spicy. We weren't in the mood for a spicy treat at that time. And soy garlic seemed to just sound like it has too much sodium on it. Never mind if I am a big garlic eater.

Chapchae Korean Glass Noodles

Chapchae is Korean glass noodles made from sweet potato stir fried in sesame oil along with some vegetables and small meat slices, flavored with soy sauce and with sugar added as sweetener. Reminds me of my favorite Japanese shirataki noodles on the sukiyaki dish.

Rice and Drinks

The rice serving at Bonchon Chicken is larger than the normal servings in other restaurants. We are big rice eaters anyway. So we even had to order an extra cup. For our drink, we had iced tea. For those who want soft drinks or soda, that is available too.

Complimentary Apple Crepé Dessert

As part of a marketing promotion that Bonchon Chicken was running at the time of our visit, we got a complimentary apple crepe as a free dessert treat for the meal that we ordered. It was a good one, just think of a huge baked or fried dough with sweet and delicious apple filling inside with some real apple chunks, drizzled with some brown sugar and sprinkled with sweet apple sauce. I am not a big eater of the apple fruit but this one tasted really good, it made me eat those apple chunks.

The House of Lechon

The cosmopolitan city of Cebu in southern Philippines has an intriguing claim as the lechon capital of the world.

Within the central Visayas province itself, many towns and cities compete for the fame and recognition of having the best lechon rendition. One of these competing cities is Carcar in southernmost part of metro Cebu.

House of Lechon
House of Lechon

House of Lechon

The flavors of Carcar City's version of the lechon is now available in the heart of Cebu City. This can be had at the House of Lechon located at Acacia Street, Kamputhaw, Cebu City. It is along the same street as Kuya J Restaurant. Also in the vicinity are Golden Prince Hotel and Elizabeth Hotel.

Carcar Lechon

Carcar's lechon variation counts on its sauce to enhance the roasted pig meat. If you have ever been to Carcar to buy lechon at their public market, you will notice how the vendors put in some more sauce into the roasted meat. Elsewhere in Cebu, this practice will be frowned upon as it takes away the crunch from the skin. By itself, the roasted pork meat is delicious and full of flavors and also goes well with the common Filipino sauce mix of soy sauce, vinegar, calamansi, and chillies. At House of Lechon, order by the kilo and it comes out cheaper than when ordering smaller portions. a quarter of a kilogram of the regular lechon costs PhP 200 while a kilo will only be at PhP 620. That's a total savings of PhP 180.

Carcar's rendition at the House of Lechon
Famous Carcar lechon

Baked Scallops

Prior to coming to the House of Lechon, I was pretty certain which restaurant in Cebu serves the most delicious baked scallops. That would have been Paolito's STK ta Bay! After trying the baked scallops at House of Lechon, that top spot on my list is no longer so sure. To put it safely, their baked scallops are certainly one of the top two in my list. I like the how the shell meat blends in well with the butter, cheese, garlic, and probably sweet honey. A serving costs PhP 200. It is a generous one counting fifteen pieces. This comes with a spoonful of atsara or pickled papaya too.

Cebu's best baked scallops at the House of Lechon
Baked scallops

Rice Platter

Our biggest surprise when we ate at House of Lechon was how big the serving is for their rice platter. The plain rice platter costs only PhP 110. A cup of plain rice is sold at PhP 35. But the rice platter serving is probably the cup of plain rice multiplied seven times.
