Munch On Comfort Food at Isidra

I joined other volunteer organizers of the Cebu Blogging Summit 2015 for a post-event dinner at Isidra Comfort Cantina last 12 December 2015. They were one of our sponsors for the Cebu Blogging Summit 2.0 held at the Century Plaza Hotel. During dinner, we sampled the a la carte menu at the restaurant.

So what did we have for dinner? They served our favorite Filipino foods. And they have dishes with obvious Malaysian influences.

Appetizers at Isidra Comfort Cantina

For appetizers we ordered eggplant chips, stir-fried tofu, tokwa't baboy, spicy sisig, and deep fried maskara. The eggplant chips were surprisingly delicious. Only the spicy sisig didn't taste special for me. But it was okay. Not the best. Yet not the worst I've come across either.

Main Entreés

Romeo of Zuprome ordered the grilled pork belly. Mel of Fueled by Caffeine ordered gambaretti pasta. Our other pals ordered bagnet, pork chop, and pork steak. Everything was good and we enjoyed home-cooked goodness.

Tausug Delicacies

One interesting section of the menu lists Tausug dishes. These dishes have obvious Malaysian influences. These Tausug dishes are Chicken Satti, Beef Satti, and Blackened Chicken. They are on the spicy side of things. They all tasted good.

The desserts here are heavenly. Or I just love sweets no matter what. We ordered a meringue-based dessert and mango float. Everybody loved it.
