Bikini Competition Returns To Cebu After A Decade

The last bikini competition in the Queen City of the South  happened in 2006, exactly a decade ago. 2016 marks the year it returns to the scene in the province of Cebu, Philippines. The Cebu Bikini Bodies 2016 even brings it closer to the heart of Cebu City instead of the traditional event venue in Mactan Island.

The Cebu Bikini Bodies 2016 was held at the Banilad Sports Club in Paseo Saturnino, Ma. Luisa Road, Banilad, Cebu City, Philippines on 16 April 2016. Organized by Verve, this was also supported by Alcoy's Voda Krasna Beach Resort. Both Banilad Sports Club and Voda Krasna Beach Resort is owned by Beth Metcalf who have recently acquired both properties. Other sponsors were, Taft Properties, M Talent Events and Productions, Calayan Medical Group, Contours, and Breezer.

Judging the competition were TV host Blinky de Leon, columnist Alexis Yap, make-up artist Jessie Glova, fahion designer Cary Santiago, and fashion designer Jongz Loquinario.

Providing more entertainment during the event were comedian Lyka and the Abyss Dancers. Jessie Glova also sang acapella at some point.

Cebu Bikini Bodies 2016 Winners

Winners of the Cebu Bikini Bodies 2016 will grace the grand relaunch of the Voda Krasna Beach Resort at Alcoy, Cebu, Philippines on 23 April 2016. Ivy Tapic bested seven (7) other female contestants to be adjudged Ms. Cebu Bikini Body 2016. In the male competition, El Cid Canadio beat six (6) other contestants to be crowned Mr. Cebu Bikini Body 2016. Ivy and El Cid also won the best in fun wear and best in creative pose minor awards. 1st runner-up were Gregory Bolen and Nielisa Cabal. Honeylyn Bato and Ryan Earl Luna were 2nd runner-up. The judges along with Ms. Beth Metcalf and Banilad Sports Club general manager Andy Walkington awarded the prizes to the winners.
